Album cover shoot for Derek.
My friend Derek Nicoletto asked me to shoot for his new album cover that will be released very soon. He came over my new “work in progress” studio, maneuvered thru unpacked boxes and fresh paint to pose for the shoot with a clear idea in his mind and hands. Derek is very talented songwriter and lead singer for “Telling on Trixie”. I also had a privilege to shoot his wedding. Check out his songs here.

Then we went down to my new amaising lobby to have some more fun. (I have a feeling that I will be shooting here allot.)

Amanda and Evan slideshow!
What a nice way to relive your wedding day while on honeymoon in a small island in the Carribbean, Anguilla. We are freezing here!

Amanda and Evan got married!!!
So Amanda and Evan are now Missis and Mister Friss. CONGRATULATIONS!!! My associate Maria and I arrived at Central Park early in the morning, the day was misty and gray, but I immediately saw the possibilities of soft light that we’d get for the couple shots. Amanda was very calm when we arrived, she got changed into her simple yet beautiful dress that fit her natural elegance like a glove. We were out shooting in the park by nine thirty AM. Amanda was wearing her strappless dress, no coat, and she didn’t complaint once of being cold!! We were amazed!!. We had a very easy shooting in the area near the Boat House, they are sooo easy to photograph: very attractive both of them and so affectionate to each other!! Check out their engagement shoot. The shower of kisses, playfulness and laughter into our cameras really facilitated our job. Thanks guys!!
The ceremony was simple and the rabbi had a nice balance of sense of humor and seriously. He said one of the most sound YESes I have ever heard and cracked some contained laughs from their friends and family.

Anna and Zack were among the guests, what a nice surprise. They had recommended me to Amanda and Evan after I shot their wedding (also with Maria) in the Citizen Ball Park in Philly. They looked so happy together. I saw Anna rubbing Zack’s leg discreetly under the table a couple of times, how cute is that?? I took some pics of them, I hope you recognize them from the wedding photos…it took me a while to figure out that curly head in the green dress was Anna!!

And lastly…guess who is that?????

WPJA contest time
It’s the time for the WPJA quarterly contest. Five of my photos scored in the last contest and I would like to win again:-) I will be posting the images in the next few days that I want to enter and would like your vote. The first bunch is from fall wedding I shot for Karenscape. I love to second shoot when not booked, it gives me freedom of being more creative and practice new ideas without stressing out.

Oksana and Yura got married!!
Last sunday I shot Oksana and Yura’s wedding. The weather was unbelievably warm for January, the guys were very calm and very much in LOVE! The day went really well, perhaps of the engagement shoot we did few weeks before. Oksana was so beautiful with or without makeup and it was a joy to photograph her. I was editing twice as hard because I had great assistant/second shooter Heather who is a wedding photographer herself and shoots really good stuff. Congratulations guys and have fun in Aruba!
