Congrats to Kristen and Ken!!
Kristen and Ken are married! Their beautiful wedding ceremony and reception were held at one of my favorite places in Central Park Boat House. Kristen looked stunning and was a real trooper when we went out in the cold to take some photos. To bad we didn’t have much time to get some sun light but I am so looking forward to shoot the “wedding after” session when guys are back from their honeymoon. The ceremony was great and the party was FUN with a band “Vali” performing. I want to thank Kristen and Ken for letting me to witness their happiest day and my associate and dear friend Maria for her an amazing eye.
Stay tuned for a slideshow….
Some of my favorits from Maria.
Travel photos
It is so cold here in New York so I was thinking where would I rather be. Luckily I’ve traveled allot for assignments and leisure, took some photos and now can imaging myself in those places. Hope it’s warmer tomorrow as Maria and I shooting a beautiful wedding in Central Park. All travel photos were taken with point and shoot film camera.

When A Japanese Baby is Born
My friend David emailed me this video. I thought it was very funny.
TestEllen and Robert slideshow
Watch the big screen slideshow here and enjoy!!
Ellen and Robert are engaged!!!!
Today I had a very relaxing and fun shoot with Ellen and Robert who are getting married in May. Ellen has two gorgeous Siamese cats and her face would really light up when Robert was saying “CATS!!” instead of “cheese” during the shoot. I truly enjoyed to photograph them and can’t wait to their wedding!! Congratulations!!
Free Wedding Photography Contest!!
Back in November really talented wedding photographer Jessica Claire from California posted a free wedding photography contest on her blog. I was reading it and thinking what a wonderful way to give back. When she chose three finalists I was about to email her and offer to shoot any of the other two but… she decided to photograph all the three finalists. God bless her!
Anyway, I was so deeply touched by Jessica’s gesture that I have decided to follow her idea and offer the same present to a couple in my community. My business is really growing fast, I get allot of bookings and it would be my way to THANK ALL OF YOU for your great support.
I am offering free photography to a couple on their wedding day. You must be someone who appreciates photography but CAN NOT afford to hire a professional. Not because you bought a Jimmy Choo shoes or Vera Wang dress and have exceeded your budget but simply CAN NOT afford my prices.
To apply you must live within 60 miles of zip code 10034- New York City and have a set date and location. All interested send your story and tell me also why is it important for you to have me photograph your wedding plus a recent photo of two of you to contest@bloomweddings.com
The DEADLINE is March 15th, 2007.
I will select a couple and treat them with my basic package (shooting, website, slideshow and proof album) plus the Asuka Book.
There is no cost and no obligation whatsoever attached to this offer. I will have to decline any applications with weddings on dates that I am already booked.
I will announce the finalist, their stories and photos on this blog on April 15th.
Please nominate yourself, nominate someone you know and forward this post to all couples that might be good candidates for this contest.
I cannot wait to read your story!!!

Wedding photos from 1980s in Russia
In Russia, where I came from, I was shooting allot of weddings in- now very popular- “photojournalistic style”. I am still unpacking my boxes from the recent move and thought to show you few wedding photos from almost 20 years ago
Please pardon the quality. I don’t have a scanner at a moment and all those shots are from actual photos that I made in an old fashion darkroom ages ago. I will be posting more as I go.
This one was my favorite and the best seller with art collectors, I even oil painted it during my “hand painted photographs” period

This one was my favorite bride. About 6 months after her wedding I got a call from her again to take her wedding pictures. She was getting married- again!
