A couple of weeks ago six women wedding photographers including me got together for a fun shoot at Osborn Castle at Cat Rock in Garrison, NY

We got our hair and make up done, dressed up and photographed each other, the family of the Castle, their children, and the hair and make up girls. This was our second annual “fashion” shoot.

Today is 9 months since I quit smoking!!

I did gain 20 pounds but who cares, right?

Here is a random photo of Maria and me from Krista and Andreas wedding taken by one of the guests. Maria is one year smoke-free herself! Congrats sister!!! We did it!!!!

It’s been THIRTY ONE days since I quit smoking and can now officially say “Bye-Bye” to cigarettes. Yes!!!! I did it!!

For the record I quit smoking with Chantix, the stop smoking aid. It’s been really weird month- I was sleeping ALLOT (10-12 hors a day) and eating ALLOT ( I gained 5 or 7 pounds and still counting:-) and had a very low energy level. But I am getting back to normal with really great benefits like clearer skin, brighter teeth and no ash tray smell

I want to thank everyone who called and emailed. I couldn’t do it without my friends at FWForum, Maria, Amanda and specially Babak. Thank you for the great support!!

Today is day SEVEN since I quit smoking!!! Needless to say I was smoking as long as I have been a photographer, twenty and some years. It’s about time

Why this time I think it is going to work:

1. I do want to live longer. Life is too good right now.
2. I always had a great skin and in the last few years am getting an adult acne. My dermatologist says it is from smoking.
3. I want to kiss my boyfriend a lot!
4. I cough.
7. I am getting wrinkles.

Sorry for not posting since I am back from the vacation! It’s been super busy with all the album and print orders and editing all the fabulous slideshows I am going to post soon. When I get a breathing moment I will blog more about the retreat but for now here is a photo of me and friends I was vacationing with. Henry Chan and I taking off to Brandenburg, KY to spend some time with fellow wedding photographers (here). I don’t know where it is, never been there but anything away from computer monitor And I am NOT bringing my laptop! Before that Henry and I shooting a wedding in Indianapolis with a very talented and known photojournalist from Texas Huy Nguyen. That’s exciting!!

My friend Derek who is very talented songwriter and lead singer for “Telling on Trixie” just sent me a debut video for their single “Halfway Back to Sane”. I had a privilege to shoot his wedding and a cover for their CD album.

The video stars the band, America’s Next Top Model star Jade Cole, and model/actress Monique. It was produced by Appia Film, the producer/editor Jarret Eagan, directed by Victor Medina-San Andres, and shot by Jorge Valdes-Iga.
